It doesn't have anything to do with an iphone....the Royal is going to have interactive features on your stateroom tv that will let you know what's coming up for the days activities.

I believe the OP's concern (at least mine is) whether there will be a hard copy available of the Patters. Many of us don't want to be carrying around a smart phone while on a cruise and like having that paper copy to mark up, highlight, put asterisks by activities we're interested in.

Patters are still around.
Anyone booked on the Scandinavia/Russia cruise. Just booked a fab cruise departing from Copenhagen on 12 May 2014. A long time off, but counting the days.
