Mexfolkart Posted June 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2013 We will be going to Murmansk on our 2014 cruise. Do you have to get Russian passports to just go on shore on your own? Or do the tour companies provide them like they do in St. Petersburg? Is it worth getting off in Murmansk? Thanks for your help! Rare LHT28 Posted June 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2013 You will have to get a VISA for independent touring ..that is if you can find a taxi at the port (if you can call it a port) Not sure there are even any private guides there to do private tours It took us several hours for the ship to be cleared ...good thing we had booked the 3 hr tour, other did not get the longer tour because of the delay from the Russian authorities It is much worse than SPB disembarkation Yes it was worth getting off the ship despite the cost of Oceania's tour Lyn
