NorthWestPassage Posted June 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2013 We will be traveling on a Venice to Venice Adriatic sailing, this summer. The Spirit docks in Rovinj, Croatia (near the EU border with Slovenia). We have arranged a private driver excursion to the area around Piran, Slovenia. The border crossing will require a passport. I understand that Seabourn collects all passports at the embarkation start of each voyage. Will there be much much of a hassle with the hotel manager to get our passports back, the night before arriving in Rovinj. (Please note that this will be the second stop in a row in Croatia, so some of the Croatian customs/immigration formalities may already be addressed before arrival in Rovinj.) What do you think? Contact reception at least 2 days prior to arriving and explain your situation. They will upon arrival and clearence return your passports to you. When you come back onboard simply hand your passports back to reception for collection.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2013 This will likely not be a problem but I would just check ahead of time and just do this shortly after you board the ship. Keith
