So I spoke to a person at Carnival and I am starting to thing that special offers thing is a little bit of BS. I think they only offer things to people that play a lot at casino. I am still a loyal Carnival Cruiser but here is why I say that. They make it seem as if you have to check the tab every day to see if there are special offers for you. Well it stands to reason if there were offers that you have missed that they could tell you the offers that were given. They could not tell me this and all they mentioned was I was not a big Casino player.

If you missed the offer what's the point of being told what you missed out on?

I don't see a problem with having a bit of responsibility for myself and checking what special offers are available to me. It's no different than choosing to read a weekly sales flyer from anywhere I shop regularly. If I don't open it I'm not going to complain to Target that toilet papers and soup were on sale last week and I missed out.

Well, there are special offers for past guest and sometimes resident rates on some sailings. Have you already booked and are watching for price drops or are you trying to book under most favorable special rate.

The way that we have got the best pricing is to always try to book early so we get the room that we want using the Early Saver rate. Then you will be able to price match to any special offers on your cruise up until 2 days before sailing as long as they still have rooms in the same category as yours if available, OR you can upgrade to higher room if the price difference is something you feel is a good deal. There are some restrictions with the ES rate but not usually a problem for most people. Insurance is always an option if you feel something may prevent you from taking your cruise.

My point is I don't think I ever missed any offer because I don't think I have ever received any special offers at all. At Target you know there are weekly sales they are everywhere. In the paper, online etc.

I don't have any problem checking either what I do have a problem with is checking something when Carnival knows it will not be there.

I am not sure if I am making myself and my message clear. (my fault not yours) I understand the different rates that are available and I always take advanatge of price drops.

What I am referring to is where it says "Special Offers Just for you"
