OzCanuck Posted June 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Some of it has more to do with NCL and Alaska than the kid, but here's a link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1856012

Amy G Posted June 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2013 We had planned on doing the Juneau tramway, and now I am worried it wont be worth it... We have been to Mendenhall Glacier twice already, so now I am not sure what to do!
OzCanuck Posted June 16, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted June 16, 2013 We had planned on doing the Juneau tramway, and now I am worried it wont be worth it... We have been to Mendenhall Glacier twice already, so now I am not sure what to do! Well - my advice is - at this age it's really whether YOU want to do it or not. We had a beautiful sunny day with great views. $31/person... $62 for 30 minutes up top (our choice) and some nice photos. I would say if it's a nice day, go for it. If your child is quite ambulatory and adventuresome, then the hiking trails might be good for half an hour of leg-stretching. We didn't go to the discovery centre at the top (or whatever it was) - too crowded and I didn't see a way to get the stroller up there with all the snow. But even so, I doubt there would be much to keep a 20 month old engaged. If we go back there sometime with ours, and he is older (6+) I would probably do the tramway + Mendenhall. Any younger - I doubt it.
