Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted June 16, 2013 #26 Share Posted June 16, 2013 That was my first thought when I read about the buffet service. Do they still do this if there is a noro outbreak? No, in the event of a Code Red noro outbreak, you are given silverware wrapped in a napkin as you go through the buffet. I actually prefer it that way. Either that, or clear an entire table everytime it turns over.

PlanoDebbie Posted June 21, 2013 #31 Share Posted June 21, 2013 It's been a few years since we've been on Princess, but most cruiselines have a display case right outside the dining rooms where the lunch and dinner menus are posted every day. That way you can decide if you want to eat at the buffet or the dining room. I know the menus were also accessible on the TV in your cabin on Carnival. Can't remember if Princess also does that. Pam in CA Posted June 21, 2013 #32 Share Posted June 21, 2013 It's been a few years since we've been on Princess, but most cruiselines have a display case right outside the dining rooms where the lunch and dinner menus are posted every day. That way you can decide if you want to eat at the buffet or the dining room. I know the menus were also accessible on the TV in your cabin on Carnival. Can't remember if Princess also does that. On Princess, the dining room menus are displayed outside each dining room(s). Up until a couple of weeks ago, Princess has not had interactive TVs. This has been introduced on the new Royal Princess and will be rolled out on other ships. On-demand movies and TV shows are now available... for free. (I assume this is also free on Carnival?) There is a new intranet which will include access to the Patter, your folio and other information. I haven't experienced it yet so I don't know if it includes the dining room menus. breambay Posted August 7, 2013 #41 Share Posted August 7, 2013 And I haven't made a note of any of the new menus. On the Diamond last month, we were very surprised at repeated menus, not just an entree but the entire menu, just two days apart. We had several repeated menus on our 16-night cruise. First time I've ever seen this. We dont mind when they repeat lunches or dinner with the Crayfish,Mud crabs, rock Lobsters, Aussie King Prawns, River Lobsters etc breambay

shredie Posted August 7, 2013 #44 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Only their version of an Egg McMuffin. ~~~~ I really dislike this egg sandwich. I've never had one that was warm enough by the time it was delivered to the room. It has always been too greasy for my taste, too. I gave up on it after giving it what I thought was a fair chance.
