williamson_ja Posted June 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2013 I booked 2 porthole cabins for my upcoming trip. As you know, portholes go very quickly and there are no portholes left to compare prices to for ES price drops. However, the insides rate has gone down $35/pp. We have 8 people, sailing so it would be a good savings for us. If I fill out an ES form and put the price of the inside what will happen? Will they match it, change my reservation to an inside, or do nothing and deny it? We're on a tight budget, so I'd love to have the OBC to help pay for gratuities at the end, but I don't want to lose my precious porthole cabins either. Please help! firefly333 Posted June 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2013 I had a 1A port hole and I price matched and got moved to a regular inside, so if you do it, its a chance you have to be willing to take. For $120 it was worth it to me, but I am solo. They might give you the price match or they might enforce the rules which clearly state as Im sure you read, that the price match has to be to YOUR category. Only you know if its worth the risk have being moved.
okgirl Posted June 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Like Fire said they can change your cabin, but in my case they gave me the price match to the inside midship. I actually just expected them to deny me....but got lucky.
