richarduk Posted June 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2013 In concierge class, is dinner from the main dining room served all at once for in-room dining or is it course by course? Will the staff member bring a table cloth with the meal automatically? Thanks.
Tiggertastic Posted June 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2013 I would imagine it all comes at once, like breakfast does
Flo71 Posted June 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Is concierge in room dining different from normal in room dining? Just wondering, could upgrade for $300 for 3 of us to concierge but don't know if its worth it.

didicruiser Posted June 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Room service dinner to a concierge class room comes on a tray. There isn't a dinner table in the cabin to set up. You will have the knee high table on the balcony and the cocktail-type table in the room. The style you mentioned with the white table cloth served in courses is more for suites with butler service. With that said, nothing can beat eating on your balcony watching the water. Outstanding!!

That's supposed to be one of the differences between a regular balcony and concierge. and Yes, it is awesome to eat either breakfast or dinner looking at the sea. I say, pay the money. The breakfast room service has an expanded menu for Concierge.

WestLakeGirl Posted June 23, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Nor can you order from the specialty restaurants as room seevice
Okika Posted June 23, 2013 #12 Share Posted June 23, 2013 No, they don't do that. Nor can you order from the specialty restaurants as room seevice That is too bad. My boyfriend has an anxiety disorder so sometimes eating in restaurants is too much for him. I was hoping we would be able to enjoy our AQ meals in the room if he is having a tough day. Oh well. Please let the rest of us know where you saw it so we can avoid it. When we have seen a small, knee high table on a concierge balcony, it was there in addition to the standard dining height table. Just wondering, could upgrade for $300 for 3 of us to concierge but don't know if its worth it. What ship? In general, an upgrade to CC on M class ships is worthwhile because the rooms are larger; in S class, really not worth much at all, certainly not $300 IMO. There are more items on the room service breakfast menu in CC, but you can actually get anything you like by just writing it in in a standard balcony cabin. Okika Posted June 23, 2013 #16 Share Posted June 23, 2013 This is true. The menu at Blu is more up our alley, but I am happy to eat from MDR as well. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

We even brought it inside to eat on cooler evenings. We asked our steward for a table cloth and he obliged. He got a nice tip too. The meal is brought all at once. Full in room dining is a big reason we sail Celebrity.
