LadyBerard Posted June 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Has anyone had a chance to take pictures of the DZ forward facing balconies on Royal Princess? If so, could you post them? Thanks!

seacruise9 Posted June 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Hi, I was on the seven-day maiden voyage of the Royal Princess last week. I had an inside cabin, but my tablemate for dinner invited a group of us to his forward-facing balcony (L101) for the departure from Lisbon. Thus, I am familar with this stateroom. The balcony is large, but the wall is solid below the railing. Also, because the center section of the bridge extends forward, you can't see down to the bow of the ship from this balcony. I know that the occupants of this stateroom are asked to keep their blinds closed at night so that their lights do not reduce the visibility from the bridge. For what it's woth, my tablemate was happy with this stateroom. Chuck

jkskrap Posted June 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Wow! Great picture! Just figured out the "L" and "M" -- at first I thought they were 2 story suites. Those look awesome.

Beachdude Posted June 27, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Are they usable while the ship is moving? Burt
Loonbeam Posted June 27, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 27, 2013 The true front facing are locked when underway from what we can tell. The wing balconies are still an open question but appear to be usable as of now, since they open to the sides.
