Very recent cruisers - ICE ?

We were in an aft warp (not a suite) on the Splendor June 10-18. We had an ice bucket and glasses on a tray - no ice in the bucket. We asked the steward for ice, extra pillows and an ashtray for my sister. He brought ice for the bucket and a big plastic bucket (like the use for the bucket of beer) for our champagne. He filled both twice a day.

I got off the Paradise two days ago. There was not an ice bucket in the room. Asked the room steward for one and it was kept full.

On the Freedom in April the bucket was in the cabin, not filled - -I am sure we could have asked, but did not need it.

 

On the Glory last week the buckets were filled from the moment we were on the ship till we left.

 

I guess each ship is doing what the Hotel Director requires - just the the Cruise Directors being different, whoever is managing must have the say at least now...

 

and yes before anyone asks we got the lovely chocolates at turndown and a different cute towel animal each of the 4 nights!
