lenquixote66 Posted July 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2013 What temperatures can one expect on a October cruise to New England /Canada ? We are trying to figure out the type of clothes to take.
Rare martincath Posted July 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2013 For detailed weather info, check out each of your port stops on this website (I've preset for Halifax, NS right now but you can search in the Location field) for their statistical average temps, rainfall etc. if you want to get the most likely range of weather. You might get lucky, you might get unlucky, so clothes-wise, same as with any cruise in northern latitudes: layers. Lots of light layer-able clothes including a wind & water resistant jacket and footwear. Since you're in Long Island I imagine that you already have everything you need if you go outdoors much in Fall.
CruisinCadie Posted July 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2013 For information Farenheit, go to Fodors.com, find the city and enter the date(s) you will be there. It will give you the average weather conditions for that day. Kathy
trophy_23 Posted July 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2013 I would pack a bit of everything and layer as mentioned. On both of our Canada/NE cruises we experienced some rainy days, some hot days where shorts and t-shirts were needed and some really cool nights on the ship (if you went outside).
