Public Smoking areas on Glory?

Please don't turn this into a Smoking vs Non-Smoking thread!! I am a respectful smoker and just have a simple question I need answered.

 

I'm sailing on the Glory at the end of next month and I know I can smoke on my balcony but was wondering, what public areas (and which parts of each) can I smoke in? Lido Deck, dance club, casino/casino bar, etc? I only ask because I know each ship is different and I haven't been on Glory before.

On the Glory you can smoke on the starboard side of deck 10 (panorama), in the “White Heat” disco/night club, the “Blue Fin” bar, and parts of the casino and casino bar. All three are located on deck 5.

Thanks!! :D Can you smoke on the Lido Deck at all? The ships I've been on, you could smoke on Lido, Starboard side (same with the exterior promenade deck 3). I can't wait to see Glory and fully explore her, I'm sure I'll love her as well!!!! :D

There is no longer any smoking on the Lido deck. All the Carnival ships with the 2.0 “upgrades” have moved the smoking up a deck because the condiment table for Guy’s burgers and the Red Frog bar are both located in what was the smoking area.

The smoking area on deck 10 is nice – there are several nice chairs (about 15) in the mid-section of the ship (by the windows for the steak house) with a few tables between them. This area is under the overhand of the sports area so it is shaded and protected from the wind and rain. The only drawback is you are VERY removed from the activities on the Lido deck and behind the movie screen (or TV).

You can also smoke on deck 10 on the loungers on the starboard side when you want to be in the sun and closer to the activities.

I believe you are right about smoking on the outside area of deck 3, I forgot about the area.

I have also smoked on the small “secret” decks in the front of the ship. I am not sure if it is a “designated” area or not – but have never seen anyone else out there.

Good luck to you. I'm sure your cruise will be the test. I'm trying to quit but to no avail, even with e cigs. When I cruise, I enjoy the smoking section and meeting other fine folks there. I understand the casino situation too.

Huh, that's a bummer. :( One of my fav activities is (was) sitting by the Lido Bar having a smoke and a few drinks with new friends while watching all the activities and other goings on by the main pool. I don't understand why they can't have smoking just because the Red Frog Bar is there, they always had it at the Lido Bar. What's the difference? Don't understand that one. Good to know though there is a place I can smoke and still watchwhatever is going on down on Lido!! :D

That's true, no huge difference between an e-cig and a real cig. And there's nothing wrong with hanging out in the smoking areas to babble, whatever works for you!!!! :D But isn't that going to make you want a cig even more? We will have a blast, you have a blast as well!!!! :D

The difference is that now you have two food venues right there on the Lido Deck. On one side you have Guy's Burger Joint and the other side is the Blue Iguana. The food venues are the clincher for why smoking has been discontinued on the Lido Deck. Also on each side of the Lido Deck is the Red Frog Rum Bar and the Blue Igauna Tequila Bar, even though these bars are in a somewhat open area there was still no smoking allowed that I saw this past May.

I had not realized that part of the Panorama deck is a smoking area. Does anyone know if you can smell the smoke in the Panorama deck cabins? I am concerned because we are booked in one of the cabins next month and my DD is highly allergic to smoke.

i'doubt it because the panarama cabins are forward and the smoking area'is more midship

Oh, good grief. Another "allergy". Why would you think there would be no smoking on Panorama? There's always smoking on outside areas on one side of a ship.

I understand the Carnival 2.0 ships dont have smoking around the new areas on the ship (Lido) as for the food. Does anyone know if smoking is allowed at the Azure bar located on Lido at the back of the Carnival Glory???

No smoking at that bar. I sailed Glory this past May and the whole area at the back where that bar is was non smoking.

It seems that way. The only other outside bar I can think of is in the Serenity area. It's on the Starboard side of the ship, although I never made it there as the Serenity area was always crowded. Maybe someone knows if smoking is allowed at that bar...

serenity area is no smoking.- the glory has limited outside access to smoke. deck 10 starboard side. deck 3 starboard side. -the same side as the guest services, there is a door. then i found blue bar deck 5 aft. - we had the aft dining room then popped up to blue bar after dinner. this is also the cigar bar.--- the bar at the casino on the bsck side is smoking. its indoor but its the only smoking bar
