Merion_Mom Posted July 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2013 150 square feet for one person = lots of comfort, IMO. I just posted in another thread to someone who wants to put FOUR in a cabin that is 154 sq feet!

Ken at the beach Posted July 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Noticed you've been on the Monarch. Most of the inside and outsides on Monarch were 120 sq ft.
Merion_Mom Posted July 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Oasis does not have cabins specifically for singles. I am pretty sure that the OP means that s/he will be the only passenger in the cabin.
Lloyd555 Posted July 27, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2013 You can find some photos of the cabin I stayed in, 11275 - category Q by aft elevators on deck 11. Go to www dot cruiselinerooms dot com Go to Royal Caribbean cruiseline > Oasis of the Seas > Choose 'Stateroom pics' and scroll down to Deck: 11 Room: 11275 -- Inside Two of us stayed in the cabin and did not find it cramped. We did not spend a lot of time in it.
cb at sea Posted July 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Measure out approx. 12 X 13 ft....you probably have a room in your home with similar dimensions.....That space will include a bed, dresser, sofa, chair and BATHROOM! Do you feel cramped? Despite their size, they are well laid-out and have storage.
rt1092 Posted July 27, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Thanks all. I remembered the Monarch. We once had a category I and it was 120 sq ft. And my wife and I didn't mind it. We had been in the SO cabins the other times and they are 155 sq ft. I'm sure the 150' will be fine even if our friend decides to take a second person. Thanks again. Shooraq Posted July 27, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2013 That's the category DH and I did on the Oasis. It was just fine, had no problem with space for a week. I've done 3-nighters on Monarch with only 125 sq ft and that's a little cramped but manageable. But if you are planning on going solo, that stateroom is perfect for the price! :)
