hav2travel Posted June 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2005 Ok, this is the situation. I have a choice of Con. class cabin on the Contellation. If I take 9038 a triangle balcony. Is there a privacy issue from folks to the left or the right of me. Also are there any close up shots of those cabins to help me choose. pking Posted June 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2005 If you have a chance to get one of those cabins, I would take it. We were in one last year and whileyou do stick out more, the extra space was welcomed.
hav2travel Posted June 29, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 29, 2005 Do you have any photos? & was it easy for other to see you on the balcony while sun bathing?
PatC Posted June 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2005 9038 is one of our favorite cabins - we had it on Millie. 9043 is another great one. If you sit way out at the point you can be seen by those behind you. If you sit back, the normal space, and have the lounge chair with the "feet out" you'll be fine. Just remember, no sun on this balcony. The overhand is very wide.
pking Posted June 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2005 I have a few pics, but I have no idea on how to get them to you. Others will see you if you are out on point.
LMKohler Posted June 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2005 We had the same cabin but on Deck 7 on Summit this past March -- 7080 and loved it. There is a thread you can search and find pictures. Do a search for Cabin 7080 and you will see all the cabins from deck 6 to 9. I wouldn't hesitate to get this cabin again and tried on our upcoming Hawaii cruise but it was already taken :(

excitedofharpenden Posted June 29, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2005 The search tool brings up quite a bit of commentary on 9038 too. I haven't looked through them, but there may be reference to a picture: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/search.php?searchid=2016320 Phil
flashdog_1 Posted June 29, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2005 Post a new thread on the Cabin Selection section and maybe you'll find some pictures when you brouse it. It would look the same on any of the M Class Celebrity ships.
Duanerice1 Posted June 30, 2005 #10 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Very nice cabin. We had had the attendant bring a padded lounge chair out and that's where I spent most of my crusie :) Seriously, the balcony is great. Unless you hang out at the railing, you won't see anyone else and they won't see you. Another feature of this cabin is that there is very little wind while cruising along. I like that. Enjoy, Duane

wolfganghowell Posted June 30, 2005 #12 Share Posted June 30, 2005 That's been my cabin twice on Millie, once on Infinity and will be again next April. you have privacy and the shape makes it extra roomy. take care of "my" room!!!!!
kitty9 Posted June 30, 2005 #13 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Balconies are never totally private. There are separations between the "walls" that separate each balcony, and people on either side of your balcony can clearly "peek between the cracks" and see your balcony clearly, even far back to your glass door, so if you're planning on nude sunbathing, or other extracurricular activities on your balcony, you're not going to be 100% private. excitedofharpenden Posted June 30, 2005 #14 Share Posted June 30, 2005 "peek between the cracks" Sorry Darcie. When I started reading about nude sunbathing on the balcony, this phrase just sort of jumped out at me:D Phil

hav2travel Posted June 30, 2005 Author #16 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Ok guys. you sold me. I booked it! Now, I did not mean NUDE sunbathing. Just plain old sunbathing. But topless is fine with me.
