Cruising in April 2014

Recommended Posts

Has anyone noticed our public holidays for April 2014? It works out beautifully!

April 18 - Good Friday

April 21 - Easter Monday

April 25 - Anzac Day

So essentially, take off 3 working days & you have Ffriday through to the following Monday :)

I was look at cruising options departing from Sydney & there isn't much around except around South Australia.

Does anyone have any bright ideas of hwo to take advantage of this time?

Thank you for that - looks like we may have to widen our search.

That Brisi departure is $150pp pn for an inside cabin!! I'm paying less for an AQ Class on Celebrity :/

Are these prices normal? ... & we'd also have to factor in the flights over...

sigh..

Thanks Gae, I was wanting somewhere 'warm' so SA doesn't quite suit.. the South Pacific looks ok except the date doesn't work :/

I used to love school holidays. Now i dislike them.

My wishful thinking is that there will be an amazing offer, for a 1 wk cruise + flights for under $1.5k that falls around those dates. Would have been an amazing thank you gift for my parents help with the wedding!

Dont overlook Hawaii.

Pride of America cruises every week on 7 day cruises out of Honolulu.

Prices are reasonable and Hawaiian Air have some good deals for the flight.

Dates are

12-Apr-2014 ... Hawaii ... 7 Nights ... Hawaii ex Honolulu Return

19-Apr-2014 ... Hawaii ... 7 Nights ... Hawaii ex Honolulu Return

26-Apr-2014 ... Hawaii ... 7 Nights ... Hawaii ex Honolulu Return

(Dates can be a bit confusing as you cross the date line)

Thank you! I'll keep it in mind.

I just had a quick look & directly on NCL site these cruises are actually $215 pp for an inside! Is this normal?? I'm used to see balconies for $100pp int he Caribbean.

Flights can be done for $1k return per person. So, $2.5k pp for flights + cruise.

I will keep an eyeout in the coming months for advertised sales. Fingers crossed!

You will find that NCL out of HNL is invariably more expensive on a per day basis. Pride of America is the remaining "NCL America" ship

They are the only ship allowed to sail within Hawaii. (ie - USA ports) Other ships visiting the islands must not return to a USA port. It is an American flagged ship, and must employ Americans under USA laws. For that matter supposedly built in USA. (Passenger Services Act)
