For those that visit the zoos at costa rica, be aware that they are closing next year:

Carnival isn't stopping in Costa Rica for the time being. I'd put this on the ports of call forum too.

 

I am personally very happy with the forward thinking for all the fauna in the country and their willingness to continue to work with injured/sick animals in Costa Rica. There is a lot of movement on the global front to try to at least keep exotic animals more for their own protection rather than our human desire to be entertained.
