2015 Schedules. A question for bill

That sounds good to me, our cruise this coming Feb will be too late for cherry blossoms in Okinawa & too early for the rest of Japan

I hope we can get more support for a Japan itinerary like this. Just as with the Autumn Foliage cruises in Canada/NE, it helps (usually) to go from north to south during cherry blossom season in Japan, so you get to see more blossoms in more places.

For timing, here's a website that describes the 2013 Cherry Blossom season in Hiroshima (blossoms opened March 22, and were in full bloom March 29):

and a few pictures, the first of Hiroshima Peace Memorial, one of nearby Miyajima Island where the famous "floating" red Torii (gate) in water is located at Itsukushima Shrine, and also Hiroshima Castle:

and even when there are no cherry blossoms, Itsukushima shrine on Miyajima island (very near Hiroshima) would provide a perfect backdrop for an Azamazing evening, don't you think?

An overnight in Hiroshima would easily allow for all I have shown, above.

Can anyone tell me how far out (date) the next group of itineraries will cover?

Hello Laraine -

The 2015 itineraries will be for the full calendar year and usually end with a final December voyage that disembarks in early January of 2016.

The last remaining hurdle before publishing the final deployment is to firm up our drydock dates and obtaining a few port confirmations.

I'm pleased that we're on your radar screen for vacationing again with Azamara!

Best regards,

Bill Leiber

Interesting you mention dry dock Bill.

I will manage my expectations by telling myself it is a short, engineering driven visit and not something else.......but speculating further is always nice :)
