Gayle V Posted August 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I'd appreciate a little advice deciding on our home going flight: Cruising and flying from Miami. We definitely cannot do the self assist. Choices are 11:50 am, or 3:00 pm costing an additional $40 each. What do you think?
cruisinfanatic Posted August 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2013 11:50 is fine under normal on time conditions. You just have to make sure you are first off after the walk offs. I think buying FTTF would be the way to go for you
nwcruiselover Posted August 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2013 You should be fine on the 11:50 as long as you get an early debarking number. FTTF would be a good idea. That being said, I'm pretty conservative and I would pay the extra and go at 3:00, and take my time getting off the ship.
cuyahoga11 Posted August 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I would opt for the later one. The last thing I want to do is stress out after a beautiful week.
lindfaz Posted August 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Pay the extra $40, then you don't have to constantly worry about the time, crowds, lines, etc. Enjoy your breakfast and relax for your turn to be called off the ship. Have a great vacation.:)
Canadian_J Posted August 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2013 1150 is an early flight and without self assist you will definitely be rushing. Highly recommend the 3pm flight so you aren't stressing.
serene56 Posted August 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Cruising and flying out of Miami= with an 11:40 flight is doable. Even without paying the 50 bucks for FTTF Take your flight information to guest services the day before and request early off zone tags. you will be given number 1. you will be called off after self assist. You will be off by 9am. its a 20 minute cab ride. (do not take the cruise lines shuttle) you will be at the airport by 9:30 even with allowing the 2 hour to check bags and get to your gate you will have time to spare. We have taken the 11:30 flight out of FLL and MIA many of times.
hattack Posted August 17, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2013 When are you cruising? If it is during Hurricane season, take the 3 pm,,,if you book the earler flight and miss it, you would have to go standby for the rest of the day or pay a whole lot more then $40 to change your reservation
