NCL Shareholder Credit Change

Good news, NCL has revised their policy for obtaining OBC for owning 100 shares of stock. They eliminated the term "for bookings made after August 5, 2013". All bookings are now eligible. Just spoke to investors relations and then confirmed for myself that the wording was removed from their web site. Emailed the form and already received and printed their confirmation of my $100 OBC.

never mind...I just found info...

since not combinable...still a problem for most PAX:mad:

*Benefit is non-transferable and not available to employees, agents of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. or its subsidiaries and affiliates, travel agents and

tour operators. Benefit is not combinable with any other offer. Shareholders have the option to choose between the shareholder benefit or the other offer.

The Shareholder must own the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. stock at time of sailing. Onboard credit is calculated in US dollars and is not redeemable

for cash. Certificate value credited to onboard account at time of sailing and may not be used towards on board service charges or pre-purchased activities.

Any unused credit shall be forfeited. Credit is applied on a per stateroom basis; double occupancy. Single guests paying 200% of applicable fare shall receive

full value of certificate. Only one shareholder credit per stateroom. Only one credit per shareholder on any one sailing. If you are requesting shareholder

onboard credit for two or more separate cabins and shares are held jointly, a minimum of 100 shares per cabin booked must be held. Other terms and

conditions may apply.

We just booked a 14 day repo for Nov. 2014...If we buy 100 shares what would we get for OBC???

We've been waiting to buy stock in NCL, just wanted the perks. We cruise about 6 times a year with Carnival & own their stock...It really pays for us who cruise often:)

We've owned RCL and CCL for years and have reaped several thousand of OBCs as stockholders. Have a couple NCL cruises booked so looked into a quick purchase of NCLH stock.

Not.

Fundamentals are less than stellar, starting with an enormous debt load that is scheduled to increase with new inventory. Very few "buy" recommendations and lots of less than glowing analyst's reports. We would be the last ones to take analysts' advice too seriously, but this one we will mark a big "wait and see," especially with a measly $100 OBC across the board that has no combinability.

I'm not the stock person in our household, hubby is but he's working. Does it have to be NCLH? I was looking @ NCL Industries.

I'm guessing that I can't use it on our Breakaway sailing next month since it's a comped cabin through the casino... right?

Such "technicalities" have not been an issue with RCL or CCL stock.

I wouldn't complain about the $100 stock credit, if I was getting a free cruise...but, unless you won BIG...it's probably not;) I never get more than chocolate covered strawberries & a photo coupon on Carnival;(

I called NCL and was told 6 days or less=$50 obc, 7 days+=$100 obc...Can use it with obc we already have:)

The fine print in post above makes it sound as if it may not be combined with any other OBC already received from NCL. (For instance, the HSN letter for $100 OBC.)

Just got off the Freedom yesterday which was a "Premier Casino Sailing" where they gave us a free balcony (paid to upgrade to a GS) and $1,750 in casino cash to start... AND received our $100 OBC shareholders credit as well! Luckily (and in rare form) also won enough in the casino take the same cruise again ...more than once! :)

But yes, it would be "difficult" to get too worked up about not getting OBC on a free sailing.

I'm not familiar about the HSN letter...I haven't cruised NCL much in the last 5 years, since sailings from West coast are almost non-existent. We recently started cruising from East coast, due to lack of ships & ports here.

Oh, you've noticed that too?! We flew from Seattle to Miami for the Epic, and now flying to New York for the Breakaway. Those airline miles are a lifesaver.:)

The good news: A lot more non-stop flights are now available from Seattle.

Go to NCL web site, scroll down, under Corporate click on Investors, then on the right side you will find all info, including form to fill out to request OBC.

This would be nice if it were true - looks like I have paperwork to do for a few cruises . . . we'll see what pans out!

Got my $100 OBC! Woohoo!

Had booked a great 9 day oceanview at a bargain for $550/pp when there was no OBC offer and watching the price like a hawk since. The same cabin keeps rising and is now $300/pp more. No way any new OBC offer or sale will ever beat that.

2 cruises this year x $100 = $200 / (100 shares at $31) = 6.4% return.

3 cruises next year, 9.6% return

I own exactly 100 shares. NCL's fundamentals are questionable but I already own Royal and Carnival by virtue of my retirement mutual fund that holds them (like many people). NCL on the other hand isn't in my fund's portfolio so I just see it as diversifying :p

For those of you have have been able to add this to your account with existing OBC, what kind of credit did you have (from TA, promotional, transferred through credit card points, etc.)? When I called, they said that it was not combineable with any existing OBC.
