Alaska Excursions - Appropriate Tip Amounts?

I am getting our cash together for our cruise to Alaska next weekend.

 

I don't have a good sense of what appropriate tip amounts will be for our excursions. All are booked privately, not through the ship. Here is what we are doing:

 

Juneau - Harv and Marv whale watch - cost $321 4 hrs

Skagway - Chilkoot Charters Train and then bus to Emerald Lake - cost $352 8 hrs

Ketchikan - Floatplane to Misty Fjords - cost $458 1.5 hrs

I'm a generous tipper, who most times isn't popular. For these type tours, I'm at the $20pp average. $10pp would be a min., in "my opinion". (only an opinion) I greatly enjoy my preferred vendors, who I have gone with for years, and they always give me an exceptional tour.
