Back from Bermuda!!

sailed the summit out of NJ on august 18th.

quite possibly one of the best cruises I've been on. we're only talking 6-7 cruises but we had a great time.

room service, coffee for 2 every morning delivered 7:00am - 7:10am each day. cabin, always magically cleaned and then turned down every morning and night.

BLU, I don't think I could have helped but have been a little disappointed after reading so many reviews about wonderful breakfasts being served there. don't get me wrong, nothing was bad. breakfast is my favorite meal, especially while cruising, and I just wasn't overly impressed. dinners were good. really can't get anymore excited about the meals taken in BLU. good, just nothing spectacular.

now, spectacular, you want Qsine. we had booked our first nights dinner there and enjoyed it enough to book again for later in the cruise.

Hervie(sp) made both nights! we will still be talking about our dinners there years from now! I can't say enough good things about the food and Hervie.

had read a review of this same cruise a couple of days ago with someone being critical of the bartenders in the martini bar. I realize everyone has their own experience but we loved all the guys working this location. it may have helped that we were there every day and I think built a little bit of a rapport with them. very entertaining and considering the complexity of the drinks, we were served in a timely manner each visit.

never ate in the MDR. never got in the pool. made our donation in the casino. won some but let celebrity have it all back. shops were what you would expect from celebrity. went to see the illusionist. I guess this is what a magician is called these days! these guys just make me mad, hate not being able to figure out how they do the things they do! he was very very good. traveling companion went to the broadway show and reported back that it was entertaining.

on the 9th floor, 9104. loved the location, never a problem with noise from above.

weather was great! from what I've read we were lucky. Bermuda is a beautiful island. went to horseshoe bay one day. very crowded. we didn't get chairs just used our towels. drinks were available as you walked onto the beach but we had brought our own. beautiful rock formations all over this beach.

bought a day pass at coco reef, $49pp. they were very nice, provided towels and we were allowed access to their beach, not much of a beach though. also access to the pool, very nice. and then a lunch with either a beer, wine or soft drink. water at their beach was a little to rough for me but i'm not much of a swimmer. more of a stand in the pool and sip my drink kind of person!

wandered around the dock yards our last day. spent most of the afternoon at the "frog and onion pub." visited with people at the bar then headed back to the ship.

maybe I just needed a vacation or maybe I had forgotten just how fabulous sailing on celebrity is. we both just had a wonderful time. no way I can list any names but every passenger we met on board and on port were just great.

we may have talked ourselves into Europe on celebrity next year, we'll see.

i'm remembering one view that mentioned, several times, about the rust on their veranda.

couldn't tell you if mine had rust. i was looking at other things!

bathroom tiles cracked, don't know, wasn't looking for 'em.
