Whalergirl Posted September 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Is there a usual period of time after booking that you can cancel with no penalty? We are still more than 90 days out, but did not purchase any insurance. We have paid over $1,000 in deposits. Do you usually get this back? Thanks for responses. klfrodo Posted September 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2013 The answer is,,,,,, It depends.. Depends on if you used a TA, or cruiseline direct Depends on length of cruise Depends on what class/category/any special deal you might have booked under Very basic general rule of thumb would dictate that you can cancel up to 24 hrs before final payment date,,,, however,,, see above
RJ2002 Posted September 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2013 There's really no way anyone here can answer your question without knowing your specific details. You need to look back at the documentation you should have received when you put down your deposit. If you used a TA, you should contact them. If not, just contact the cruise line.
