Ship:  CONSTELLATION

CABIN #:  7199

DECK #:  7

CLASS:  Family Verandah

AREA:  Corner aft

BED NEAR:  Bathroom

QUIET?:  Room is quiet; on the balcony only conversations of neighbouring cabins. Not bothersome.

BALCONY VIEW:  Aft - wake of the ship and full side view. No obstructions.

BALCONY SIZE:  HUGE!

WIND A PROBLEM?:  No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:  No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:  As the cabin is not revolutionized yet, however it was very clean and well maintained. There were no issues with anything. This cabin has 2 doors to enter. The outlets were sufficient as we used both types with adapters. In the sitting room with the sofa and chairs ( will sleep up to three ), the power bar ( under the tv in the cabinet) was used to charge devices as well.

The balcony was unbelievable!!  It’s approximately 2/3’s the size of the cabin. There were loungers, chairs, couch and 2 tables available to use.

It has been rumoured that this cabin will be updated to a suite when the ship goes in to be revolutionized.

Would absolutely book again.

See the attached video for a quick walk through.

Infinity

September 2022

Cabin #8069

Deck: 8

Class: Concierge

Area: Mid ship between mid ship and forward elevators.

Quiet: Yes. Crew door is across hall, but we rarely heard noise from crew.

Balcony view: Clear view to rear and front.  Overhang two floors above somewhat limits sky view, but also keeps rain away from balcony. No obstructions.

Balcony size:  9.5ft X 4.5 ft (approx.)

Wind a Problem: No

Soot a problem: No

Problems/Comments: Room measures approx. 9.5ft X 22ft. Good storage. Small sofa. Small bathroom. Very cold in room at first (64 degrees).  After repairs were made, room stayed around 71 degrees with thermostat set on medium heat. Some issues, but a good cabin.

CABIN #:  Summit (revolutized)

DECK #:  6

CLASS:  Sky suite 2

AREA: Starboard Aft very near central elevators

BED NEAR: faces the sea head near bath, narrow space on right side

QUIET?: Extremely quiet no noise from hall or walls

BALCONY VIEW: Good looking out, somewhat obstructed by tender looking down.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal for an S2

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: NO

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Be prepared for this cabin to be smaller than an S2 on the

S class ships, only two usable drawers but multiple shelves.  The bathtub edge is high and

there is no hand rail.  It is not possible to sit on the edge and swing your legs around.  Just

to let those with mobility issues be warned.  The linens and towels were very plush.  The really great thing about this cabin was how QUIET it was which was very important to us.  The location between the center and rear elevator was also very good.  The obstructed view balcony did not bother us but this is not a private balcony, can be viewed from CS on the hump.

SHIP:  Summit (Nov. 2022)

CABIN #:  6012 (Ocean View Accessible)

DECK #:  6

CLASS:  04

AREA: Starboard, forward, over the theater

BED NEAR: In the middle of the room (right side).  Chair on one side, loveseat on the other side.

QUIET?: Can hear the rehearsals (morning)/shows (evening) in the theater and feel the vibration from the loud music.  Vibration of thrusters.  If the Captain has issues docking due to high winds on the starboard side, it will sound like a helicopter landing on the helipad.   Needless to say, it scared the daylights out of me when we were docking in Cozumel.

BALCONY VIEW:  -

BALCONY SIZE:

WIND A PROBLEM?:  -

SOOT A PROBLEM?:  -

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:  We loved the size of the accessible cabin and that we were able to store our luggage under the bed. The chair in the room is wide but very uncomfortable.  Good amount of storage.  Only storage in the bathroom are the shelves by the sink. I packed magnets so I can hang my toiletry/cosmetic bags in the bathroom. You will feel more motion due to being in front of the ship.  Not near the elevators.  FYI... For those of you that need internet to check email, the connection was horrible throughout the entire ship.  Even the crew complained that the connection was bad.

Looking for information on the SS on the Summit post revolutionized. Does the tub/shower have high sides, controls for jacuzzi and no grab bars?  We have been in the CS and the tub/shower is an accident waiting to happen.  This should have been addressed when all of the upgrades and improvements were made in 2019.

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

CABIN #: Infinity 8104

DECK #:8

CLASS:Celebrity Suite

AREA:Center behind library

BED NEAR:n/a

QUIET?: yes and no

BALCONY VIEW: fantastic

BALCONY SIZE: long and narrow

WIND A PROBLEM?: yes, but only when the ship is moving, lol

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

Positives:  We loved this room!  Beautiful view from living and dining rooms with floor to ceiling windows!  Great center location, bedroom is very dark with doors closed, new carpet,  and the sofa is in good condition.  Maintenance is very quick to address problems as they arise

Negatives:  Negatives are all due to age of the ship and her need for renovation!  1) You cannot adjust temp in bedroom (thermostat is broken and cannot be fixed),so it gets extremely hot at night (we were in antarctica and even there we were cooking at night!), 2) temperature adjustment knob on tub/shower falls off in your hand leaving you with a cold shower until maintenance can return to reinstall it again.  You have to be very very gentle while turning  3) ceiling above the bed creaks and groans at night, 4) many drawer faces are broken - they will fall off in your hand if you pull to quickly...bring gorilla glue and it will solve your problem (mostly),  5) lots of noise from the adjoining cabin (our neighbors liked to entertain - loudly), 6) tub doesn't hold water well, but on the upside...it drains quite well when showering 7) window coverings in living room are difficult to raise/lower (pulleys are stripped) - we just left them in the "up" position

Summit Feb 2023

CABIN #: 1130

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: Yes overall, occasional sound from the “back door” in the hall that ends at the aft and leads to the ladder up to the lawn (12)  and down to sunset veranda bar and cafe (10)

BALCONY VIEW: Balcony aft

BALCONY SIZE: oversized compared to standard had a lounger and 2 chairs and small table.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

This cabin has an amazing veiw, but unlike other aft cabins on other ships, it over looks the veranda bar/cafe on deck 10 which is one of the busiest spots on the ship. It’s not “private” on the balcony itself, standing at the rail, people in the cafe can see up to you, but because it’s deeper than other balconies, they can not see you if you are sitting in the chairs. You can hear people dining and conversations rather than the ocean sounds. Sometimes you can hear music from the movie screen on the lawn on 12.

Inside the cabin I did not hear any noise from the bar/cafe. The “back door” is so close and convenient to the cafe and the upper pool deck, but it is a steep ships ladder which not be accessible to all.  (My photos show views over the back stairs and over the outdoor bar and dining.) BDA53611-0D40-4F70-A51D-65FC595F2A4E.thumb.jpeg.b929b79de62c366eec1a9f2d3efdbcc7.jpeg1130 is one deck above the canopy (flag) on the right side of this photo.

Summit Nov 2022

CABIN #: 1136

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: Yes overall, occasional sound from the “back door” in the hall that ends at the aft and leads to the ladder up to the lawn (12)  and down to sunset veranda bar and cafe (10) and some noise on the balcony if the movie was playing on deck 12.

BALCONY VIEW: the very last cabin in the hall looking starboard, but you can glimpse aft from this location

BALCONY SIZE: standard had 2 chairs and small table.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

This cabin was on the very end of the hall, so it was very quiet, no cabin or balcony next to it on the right side (facing the ocean) only another cabin on the left side. The “back door” at the end of the hallway is so close and convenient to the cafe and bar on deck 10 and the movie area with cabanas and upper pool deck on 12, but it is a steep ships ladder which may not be accessible to all.

Inside the cabin and on the balcony,  I did not hear any noise from the bar/cafe below, but we could hear the sounds from the movie playing above on the balcony, but not in the cabin with the door closed.

BALCONY VIEW: yes

BALCONY SIZE: very large, watch out for puddles-let Guest services or steward know if it's a problem for you and they'll take care of it.  balcony is the best part of the room

WIND A PROBLEM?: when ship is moving, it can be a little challenging depending on how close to the railing you are

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Extended balcony (sweet sixteen) two loungers, one table partial shade. overall nice cabin, bathroom needs a little TLC-one hook on door wants to escape-shower grout is not ideal, Television is small but are you really on a cruise to watch tv?

Celebrity Infinity Feb 2023

CABIN #: 6105

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2B (Wheelchair-accessible veranda)

AREA: Midship port side

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Yes, mostly.

BALCONY VIEW: Clear view, perfect for Antarctica

BALCONY SIZE: It had two chairs and a table, I could fit in my wheelchair, too.

WIND A PROBLEM?: Yes, it was freezing next to the balcony door.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The cabin does not have a sofa bed as stated on the website. I checked with the accessibility team, but something is wrong with their files. The sofa is very small and only suitable for small children (up to 5 years old). We were 3 adults, so they had to bring a foldable bed for me, it was very uncomfortable. They shouldn't sell this as a triple cabin.

Thank you!  The cabin looks great!  I've been on the Millie (Celebrity Suite) and Connie (Sky Suite) and loved them both.  I have to cruise with a balcony and since price precluded me from any of the suites, this was the next best choice and I can see we made a great choice!  Can't wait!

SHIP: Millennium

CABIN #: 6099

DECK #: 6

CLASS: S1 Sky Suite

AREA: Midship forward of the midship elevators

BED NEAR: Facing toward balcony centered on bathroom wall

QUIET?: Quiet. No noise issues at all

BALCONY VIEW: Good but life boats are below you so looking straight down is obstructed.

BALCONY SIZE: Standard suite size balcony with a couch on one side and two chairs and a table on the other side.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No but the door howled a bit on the windy sea days.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The bathroom on M class Sky Suites is absolutely terrible. The tub is a high step and as a 6'1" person, I had to duck to take a shower. The lighting in the bathroom is also poor and with the shower curtain pulled closed, the tub/shower area is pretty dark. The door opens inward so two people cannot be in the bathroom at the same time. Quite honestly, one of the worst cruise ship bathrooms I have ever had. The second issue I had with the room was that there were only TWO drawers to put items in and they were in the closet. All other cabinets were just open shelves so storing clothes was a challenge. I will never book a Sky Suite on an M class ship again due to the bathroom alone.

SHIP: Infinity, 9–21 December 2023 Canaries, Morocco & Spain cruise

CABIN #: 9127

DECK #: 9

CLASS: A2 Aqua

AREA: Aft, port side, near aft stairs and elevators

BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: Yes, pretty quietl

BALCONY VIEW: Balcony is covered from the café overhang above. There are also the posts of the overhang that slightly block the views.

BALCONY SIZE: Standard size balcony with a small table and two chairs.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The Infinity needs a facelift. Our room was fine but you could see the carpeting needs to be replaced. The tile in the bathroom needs replacing. The small couch has a dip in it, so not very comfortable sitting. The balcony door doesn’t lock with the handle, so there is a lock towards the top of the door. DO NOT go outside and close the door all the way, as the lock will drop down and lock you out. That didn’t happen to me but when I came inside and closed the door, I saw the lock drop down. I would hate to be locked outside on the balcony!

Celebrity Summit December 2023
CABIN #: 9071

DECK #: 9

CLASS: AQ2

AREA: Between forward/mid-ship elevators, under the pool bar

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Mostly. Heard deck chairs moving a couple of times, but only briefly. Heard faint music from "Full Moon" party on pool deck, but it ended at 11 or 11:30pm. Crew area door across from stateroom but did not hear that much either.

BALCONY VIEW: Regular, big overhang.

BALCONY SIZE: Regular, two reclining chairs and a side table.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: No outlet on right side of bed (when lying down; side closer to bathroom), only a Euro style plug on the floor. Kind of astonishing for a newly refurbished ship. Didn't have a Euro adapter of course (only UK, lol). Otherwise, very nicely appointed cabin with lots of storage. Shower a little on the tight side.
