Caribbean Cruises in March and kids

No offense to those who have kids, but we are interested in finding out if there are some cruises in the Caribbean in the month of March that do not have many kids running around. I know some of the high end cruise lines have a no kid policy, but we are interested in a middle of the road cruise line with limited kids. Is there a specific cruise line/itinerary that has no/few kids?

Actually, even the high end lines allow kids but you will find less kids because of the cost. When you cruise the Caribbean in March expect to have a lot of children on board most ships.

In general, I think you will find fewer children aboard Holland America than some of the other lines, and more children aboard Carnival and Royal Caribbean.

I've read that taking an 11-day cruise in March (which my husband and I will be doing this coming March) would have fewer kids because their spring break is usually only 7 days. Check out the NCL Sun out of Miami for an 11-day Southern Caribbean cruise.

We went on the Oasis of the Seas last year from March 2nd for 7 nights and there were not many kids. Even if there were a lot, it would be ok because there's is a section reserved for adults on the oasis of the seas (solarium)

Great ways to help avoid seeing lots of kids on your cruise:

1. HAL is a good choice. Average age is like 93 :rolleyes:

2. Go in March when it's not spring break

3. Take a cruise of 8 or more days

4. Depart out of San Juan.

The more of these you do, the lower the number of kids.

Panama Canal! Just completed 11-day partial transit and there were supposedly 15 on the ship. I think I saw 4 at once in the Lido pool tho one day!!
