The person I spoke to on the phone couldn't believe it when he looked at it, he had to refresh his computer.

My e mails with these offers just came in. Going crazy whether to cancel my currently booked one and give up Key West on Dec 7 at full solo rate or do a straight bahama and get obc for my overage I've paid (full payment not yet paid). Wish I could do 2, but just got the bad news on the cost of my scooter repair:eek:

Thanks for sharing this info. Hopefully, they'll keep doing more of these in the future. You made me eat my words, as a couple days ago, I said in a post that solos pay double cruise fare on Carnival with no exceptions. Sometimes, it's nice to be proven wrong.

I don't recall specials like this, but maybe I just plain missed them. I first heard of this on this site, my e mail didn't come till later.

Could this possibly be part of some changes coming? Maybe we are a test group for Carnival to see how many soloes will book, where before many didn't book paying double? I notice most are for the shorter cruises and of course they are in their "slump" booking time, but that's okay. At least we've been recognized.

I sure wish my next cruise was on that list in Dec., but each time I check, the rate is more than I booked for! I wouldn't hesitate to book an extra cruise, but I'm one of those poor soles with no cc:(

Not sure we have been recognized.

They are having a hard time selling cabins and this is one the many ways they are trying to fill the ship.

If they wanted to give some love to solo cruisers they could offer the 1a cabins at a reduced supplement for the entire year or reduce the initial deposit. Or basically just turn back the clock a few years.

We'll have to wait and see if any future offers come. Even if it has anything to do with low bookings, we need to thank Carnival for this opportunity. I'm sure there was a cutback on solo bookings when they went to doubling the rate instead of a reduced supplement. I know I cut back.

Hi,

My PVP called because she noted I had traveled solo in the past. I told her I can't travel until January due to my job and to please call me if there are more offers like this. She said she has a feeling that it may be extended into the winter months!! Here's hoping :)

It's a pretty good sign, IMHO. I too am hoping they'll continue doing these in the next year, as I'm already booked on two cruises for the rest of this year. Even if most of those rates are on 1A cabins (which I suspect they are), it's still more than worth it.

I just booked a back to back solo on the Paradise for 10 days. This is from 11-25, $353 total over Thanksgiving. On the second leg 11-30, it was $243 total. Older ship, haven't been on it, thought this was a good solo price. It is a !A stateroom, same room for both legs. I'm happy with the pricing.

I just want to say one more thing, in case any Carnival employees( who are in a place to make a difference ) and read this board.

I love Carnival, and have loved all five of my cruises with them, some have been solo, and others not, but now, I find that solo cruising is the only possibility for me, as no friends to cruise with, and family cannot join at this time.

But I need at least 6 months to arrange vacation time from work, and really only have a certain time of the year that I can go, so please Carnival, if you can, make this offer something that we solo cruisers can arrange a little more in advance.

Just hoping.:o

This is the number, 1-888-672-2582, in August the first leg of my b2b was a premier cruise, I got $300 casino cash, in my cabin there was an envelope with a lanyard,a drinks on us card, an invite to a special cocktail party and I think a raffle ticket.

Through out the week I would come back to my cabin to find a bottle of champagne, a nice set of players club towels, a plate with chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate truffles and cookies, there also was a slot tournament one day just for those who were booked under that rate, they gave everyone a nice tee shirt, they also raffled off money and if nobody claimed it it would be more $ added, they also raffle off a cruise.

My upcoming November cruise is also a premier casino cruise.

I wish I could take advantage of these great prices, but I've got several other cruises planned this fall. Hope they continue the deal into January. Also interested in what is casino cash??

On my last cruise, I got $300, you just take your id to the casino cage and whatever amount you are to get they give you the cash, they have a list of names and amounts, you can do whatever you choose to do with it, there was somebody on my August roll call that was getting $1000, so people get different amounts.

The most I've gotten has been $300 the least was $25, my next two cruise I'm getting $250.
