I was thrilled when I saw your thread. Like others that have already posted, we will be getting on the Summit when you get off. We will be spending three days in Manhattan before getting on the ship and will do all the things you did and a lot more. Keep the posts, pics and great info coming. It is appreciated.

We will be on the summit for Halloween so looking forward to your posts! Are you able to get 1/2 price qsine the first night?

It was $30 rather the normal $40 or so.

It was enjoyable.

As for another poster about menus. I kind of fumbled that one today. I meant to, but had too much fun doing other things. Tomorrow is another day.

As I mentioned we did Qsine and do not have the menus from Blu. But I would have had the quail appetizer and the ahi tuna entree as I remember from the menu.

Blessings to all!

I am going to enjoy some "us time" and hit the bunk!

I'm not wishing for your cruise to be over, but I'm boarding her when you leave :-) Please take good care of her, and I'm looking forward to hearing about the ports, as we have yet to decide what we are doing LOL.

Hope you have a great time, and I'm looking very forward to reading this "live from" thread!!!

DAY ONE - A SEA DAY

This was a day that I was going to sleep in. Well, I did until 5:45 AM.

I absolutely love mornings. So I gabbed camera and MacBook and ventured off to find JAVA. Yesterday I found a coffee station on Deck 10 that I expected would be in use in the morning. To my surprise, it was not.

EVEN MORE to my surprise was the fact that the OceanView Cafe was open and I received my very first cup of black coffee!!!

We have room service coming for coffee at 7 AM and then off to Blu for breakfast.

In the meantime, I am enjoying the sight of lighting in the view out of the cafe. Temps are moderate this morning with no real need for a jacket yet as I thought and wore.

In the meantime, waiting to see if there is a nice sunrise, I jot a few notes and put up the cabin photos.

They speak for themselves I guess. It is cabin 1138 and the loveseat is near the veranda door as I like. (Speaking of Veranda door....I wish they had closers when out on the veranda, because yesterday it kept sliding open when we were out. I might have to purchase a dowel in Boston!)

Anyway enjoy the sample of cabin pictures.

Off to find the rising of the sun!

Thanks for posting the Celebrity Today and all the beautiful photos. I think I spotted our cabin on your exterior shot of the ship. I don't know whether enjoying the cruise vicariously will make the wait longer or shorter, but keep up the good work and have a great trip.

DAY TWO - continued

Blu was a fantastic breakfast of an omelette made MY way!

The weather continues to be dreary and drizzly, which coming from drought stricken southwest Kansas, is simply enjoyable especially on a sea day.

I am currently sitting in the Celebrity Theatre for a “Beyond the Podium: The Crazy World of NFL Officiating.” It is described this way in the in the Celebrity Today: “Celebrity Life Sports Speaker Bob McElwee provides an inside look at the outlandish, crazy, and sometimes unbelievale situations that have occurred in his 27 year career as a referee in the National Football League.” It is proving to be VERY entertaining!

We had Bob on our last Med cruise on the Silhouette. I went to all three of his presentations. He was very entertaining.

Can you please take a photo of the Aqua Spa LUNCH menu and possibly some photos of the food offerings? Your review has been great so far. Happy Sails!

MMMMmmmmm (sound of drooling)
