Hi Mike...

I'm still loving the review. The arcade on the Breeze looks like a lot of fun. Do you happen to know if the games take the Carnival tokens or do they take a prepaid swipe card? We have a bunch of Carnival arcade tokens from our last cruise that need to be put to good use.

Wow Mike - I can't believe that after you have posted this many photos you still have not made it to your first port etc. I cannot believe how big this ship is and how many public areas there are on the ship. I would be lost but you have captured it very well. I am sure that I would forget what I have taken pictures of and what I haven't. Great job and keep them coming.

We had our safety drill (muster); our meeting location was in the Sapphire Dining Room.

Then it was time for sail away. Breeze was facing the wrong way and therefore she had to move ahead where the inlet is wider to turn around.

Our roll call meet & greet was schedule during sail away at the Tides Bar on deck 10 aft. Tracy was not well and stayed in our cabin, while I attended the meet & greet and met some wonderful people.

The guys in the red T-shirts were part of Michel’s group.

As usual our first dinner was at the steakhouse. We decided ahead of time that it would be just the two of us. There are times when Arielle and Mitch prefer to dine elsewhere other than the dining room and other times with their new friends. Therefore on this cruise we decided they would have two free nights.

Tracy had the Maine Lobster Ravioli

I decided to try the Surf & Turf for the first time. It was the best meal I ever had on a cruise ship.

I ordered both the wild mushroom and the béarnaise sauces. For my sides I had the Yukon Gold Mash with Wasabi Horseradish and the Sautéed Medley of Fresh Mushrooms.

As usual we always order the Cheesecake with Hazelnut Biscuit.

You sir should get a kickback from Carnival. If we were not already going, you would of sold us with just this first day review. Could you answer me 2 questions involving the steakhouse? In the Surf and Turf do you get the same 9 oz Filet they offer separately? And for the sides, ordering more than one. Is it included or is there additional charges for getting more than one? Thanks in advance.

After dinner Tracy and I went to check out the Thrill Theater. We purchased 4 unlimited passes at $14.95 each. These passes are good for all 8 days. One show is $7.95 so if you’re planning on watching more than two shows I would get the unlimited pass. We watched Ice Age. I will have more details on our first sea day, along with photos.

We went to the Lido deck to watch ‘Lincoln’ on the Seaside Theater but they had sound problems and we didn’t stay.
