Rare Alphen Posted October 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Chances on HAL Holiday sale? We have our eye on 1 or 2 cruises next year, but currently have no FCC. We will be cruising over the holidays coming December, so will opt for FCC then. Since the current “Explore 4” program will end soon (which does not appeal to us because we are not that (big) drinkers), I am wondering if there is any consistency in HAL offering something of a holiday sale in December, so we can profit from FCC/OBC and some kind of other extra offering? The cruises we are looking at will not sell out quickly, so we have plenty of time to wait a bit longer.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2013 There is no telling when HAL will have their "Flash Sales".
tangerinebunny Posted October 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Are you willing to take a guarantee? We sail in December in the Caribbean, and so far our cruise seems to have available cabins. HAL has lowered prices a bit on guarantees (unassigned staterooms) but not if the passenger selects a cabin.
tenmile Posted October 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2013 We just received an HAL holiday promo sale brochure in our mail yesterday for Caribbean sailings----keep checking and good luck!
iancal Posted October 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Probably only if bookings to date are less than budgeted/anticipated bookings to date.

HAL has lowered prices a bit on guarantees (unassigned staterooms) but not if the passenger selects a cabin. We do not mind a guarantee, we have one for our upcoming cruise and we anticipate price drop on one of our choice of cruises (TA), so we have some room to wait for the best possible offer, or one with FCC that we will be buying anyway during our december cruise. Big Dawg CC Posted October 2, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2013 We've been on holiday cruises the past 4 or 5 years. In the past two, they've offered additional OBCs, bottle of wine and two free lunches at the Pinnacle if you book on the ship for the next year's holiday cruise. In my experience, prices tend to go down 30% to 40% from the time of booking (when you book so far out) and you just need to get your price adjustments when that happens. Thanks for the info, was this offer only applicable to your next year’s holiday cruise, or also on other cruises? We have our eye on a possible Antarctic adventure, but airfare close to the holidays is much more expensive than for the one before, or after the holiday period.
