If you have the classic package before you get on the ship it has a $44 value. If you upgrade to premium precruise it will cost $54 +$1.50 for a total of $11 per day. If you upgrade on the ship it will cost $59 + $2.25 for a total of $17.25.

I was told by Celebrity Rep (Whitney) that the price for upgrade remain the same on board or online. She confirmed that you can do upgrade to individual account now.

But Celebrity did post on one of the threads that the upgrade price would be different. Perhaps Whitney as answering a different question?

You have a choice of either listening to 1 individual Celebrity Rep or listening to various people posting telling you that if you wait until you board, it will cost you an additional 5.75 per day. If you were given the classic package on land and you want to upgrade on land, which means before you arrive, you can call the enhancements department and do it at a charge of 11.50 per day and it will be charged to your credit card and then once on board, you'll receive an embossed card with your upgrade. The alternative is to ignore the many people that are trying to save you money and wait untill you get on board to do the upgrade. You will then pay 17.25 per day for the same upgrade and you can use any OBC that you have to pay for it. If you don't have any OBC, then you'll pay via your credit card or cash on file and then you'll get a sticker attached to your sail n sign card that states you upgraded to the premium on board.

Remember, just because Whitney told you one thing, you could call back and get a different answer from Mary and possibly even a third answer from Susan.

Does every person in a stateroom (or group) need to purchase a package' date=' or can just one person purchase it if there is only one drinker in the group?[/quote']Unlike RCI or Carnival, which requires all occupants 21 or older in a stateroom to purchase an alcohol package if 1 wishes to, if only 1 person in a stateroom wishes to purchase a package on Celebrity, they can.
