JustCruiseMe Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Does he need cash for chips or can he get them with his S&S? Not sure how it works on Carnival or any cruise for that matter and we leave in a week.
clcjdn Posted October 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2013 He can use the sail and sign for a 3% fee or use in slot machines for free. I wouldn't suggest downloading credits and cashing at the cage immediately as that will cause the account to get locked until you talk to the casino manager. They tell you not to use it in that manner again and that a second lockout cannot be undone. At least that was my experience on the Triumph. clcjdn Posted October 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2013 ATM is about $6 a transaction so if playing tables probably easier to bring cash. I believe with enough play you can get the table fees waived. I would say it depends on your budget. Another option is to set up a line of credit. cb at sea Posted October 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2013 It's easiest to just bring the cash you wish to gamble with....no sense in paying fees for ATM's or getting money off your account. Just bring what you're willing to lose!
CruiserDen Posted October 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 8, 2013 When I have cruised Celebrity, the Casino Cashier will cash Traveler's Check with no fee. I would think it would be the same for any other line.
sailor_jimc Posted October 9, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Yes, carnival's casino cage will also cash traveler's checks with no fee as well as their Guest Services desk. If you are uncomfortable carrying the cash you can use traveler's checks. Or like earlier mentioned you can connect the Carnival Players Club and set up a line of credit before the cruise and that allows you to settle with a personal check up to 30 days after your cruise... Downside is you have to give the CPC your banking information which I was not comfortable doing...
