We will be on the Independence during the week of Thanksgiving. My husband really wants to watch the Thanksgiving Day game since the Packers are playing. Will there be a place on the ship that will broadcast the game? Maybe even on the poolside screen???

I have almost always cruised during football season and have always been able to watch a NFL game. There are only two games that day so I am sure they will play them both, even if the Packers are playing. (Just giving you a hard time, I'm a Vikings fan.:)) I hope your husband enjoys the game.

One more thing. We sailed on her sister ship, Liberty OTS, and we watched our games in the "On Air Club". They showed many games in that club. It is on deck 3.

On the ship with both of you! Are you on the roll call thread??http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1656352&page=19

We were on Oasis last year for Thanksgiving and had quite the crowd in the Promenade/On Air area watching football. It was fun! I'm sure Indy will the games on too!

Actually, there are three games played nowadays on Thanksgiving, one each on CBS, Fox, and the NFL Network. Since the Packers are the first game of the day on Fox, there is no doubt that it will be on the ship's tv. The only game that might be in question would be the Steelers/Ravens game that night on the NFL Network.

Thanks for the correction. And it's been that way for several years. Being they will already be onboard that day, they should have no trouble finding the game.
