ride4806 Posted October 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2013 WE had booked the Stars and Stripes tour for next Wed but I was wondering what would happen with the government closures. Sent an email to Roberts and received the following email. Our Stars and Stripes tour is still running with modification. Instead of going to the Arizona Memorial we will be going to the Pacific Aviation Center. My question to you folks is would you cancel this tour and do something different? I know little to nothing about the Pacific Aviation Center-has anyone visited it and can they share their input. Thanks in advance. I DO hope that these closures end very soon~~
cruzn single Posted October 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2013 We visit it every time we go to PH. Interesting little museum. We love it. My husband is retired Air Force, so have seen lots of aviation museums, and this tells WWII history in the air.
Molokai-Chuck Posted October 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2013 My wife and I also do the PAM each visit to the Islands. We are founding members of it also. It is young in its age, but very well set up. I would say do it for sure.
ride4806 Posted October 9, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks folks-my DH said the same thing, I told him I guess we will have to go back again to check out the Arizona. I appreciate your input!!
Aloha sunshine Posted October 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2013 We love the PAM. My kids 6 and 8 enjoyed it as much as my father who is a retired AF navigator. Check out groupon Honolulu. They have been running discounted tickets recently. Be sure to check out the mighty Mo while on Ford Island.
