Rare mking8288 Posted October 10, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2013 Yes - loved it. DW and I split it for a reduced calorie count. :p Still, it's 4 laps going all the way around the Upper Deck (enclosed, all weather - in case the open, outdoor deck on top got weather issues) to burn it off afterward. :D
Cruising Golfer Posted October 10, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 10, 2013 My DW had it on our first Carnival Cruise and she hated it, said it tasted like powdered chocolate mix. She has never tried it again...
ready2cruzagain Posted October 10, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 10, 2013 First thing that comes to mind...YUCK! It is just too rich for me. Love chocolate but that is way over board. Tastes like it hasn't been cooked all of the way.
Future_Mrs_Wetzel Posted October 10, 2013 #11 Share Posted October 10, 2013 I don't really eat many sweets or chocolate, but I love warm chocolate melting cake. I just can't eat the whole thing.
Swayde Posted October 10, 2013 #12 Share Posted October 10, 2013 My husband doesn't like it, but he isn't a big fan of chocolate in general. My son and I love it though. I usually get it a couple times. I will take cheesecake, creme brûlée, bitter n blanc or grand marnier soufflé instead when available.
Buckett Posted October 10, 2013 #13 Share Posted October 10, 2013 Although sometimes it seems to vary from ship to ship. I've had some that were more runny, and others firmer. I always look forward to it though! Especially with vanilla ice cream on top. :D
firemanbobswife Posted October 10, 2013 #14 Share Posted October 10, 2013 LOVE it! And as an added bonus, it works better than any constipation medicine on the market LOL!

Any thoughts? Warm Chocolate Melting Cake is simply an old recipe with a few tweaks known as Denver Chocolate Pudding. Not saying it isn't good, but it's really not new. michelle1836 Posted October 10, 2013 #17 Share Posted October 10, 2013 to be honest, I don't love it. I even got it with 3 ice creams and still too rich for me. but then again, Im not a big sweet eater.

Rare ontheweb Posted October 11, 2013 #24 Share Posted October 11, 2013 The only problem with it is that you either never get to taste the other desserts , or you have to order 2 desserts with your dinner.
Monalis Posted October 11, 2013 #25 Share Posted October 11, 2013 If the one I get is runny, I like to get some fresh fruit to dip in it, kind of like a chocolate fondue. But honestly I rarely have it, too many other good desserts to try that I can't make as easily at home. It simply reminds me of a Hot Fudge Pudding Cake I make when we want something sweet for dessert. As a side... I HATE the fact that they had the Bitter and Blanc the night of our Chef's Table and we never got to try it!! :(
