irishgal432 Posted October 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Can anyone tell me how this would work. I have 150 obc from Royal caribbean for the latest promotion. I also have 120 from a ta. So I have 370 dollars for a 3 day cruise. We had to prepay gratuities. Does anyone know if they take the royAl obc first and then the ta because I believe that the royal obc is not refundable, so I could possibly get some of the ta obc back if I don't use it. They are supposed to use refundable OBC first, but I'd confirm that with Guest Services once you board. If all else fails, you can get cash against your SeaPass account from the casino, for a 5% fee. irishgal432 Posted October 19, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Thanks for the tip about the casino. I may just do that.
Bosjoe Posted October 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Thanks for the tip about the casino. I may just do that. Setup your sea pass card as a cash account and avoid the fee.
kaybeeeeeee Posted October 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Setup your sea pass card as a cash account and avoid the fee. Can you please explain the cash account? I've called Royal Carib guest relations and asked them about it (I think I've done this before but it's been years). I was directed to the Casino folks who said they didn't know but would enquire further and get back to me but that was 2 weeks ago and nothing (not, I'm not surprised). When your setting up your online checkin, choose cask account instead of adding a credit card. At checkin on your printout will say cash account. You do not need to put cash down. On the last night or during that day go to guest relations and add a credit card to pay off your balance and to secure the last night with your credit card. I hade $400 obc, I grabbed a few hundred out of the casino, no charge.
irishgal432 Posted October 20, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Wouldn't the 5 percent show up in your account? Or does the 5percent come off the casino cash eg if you take out 100.00 if you have a credit card they only give you 95.00. So you are saying if I have a cash account they will give me 100.00?
