Dave_&_Lisa Posted October 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Has anyone ever gotten insurance through Allianz Global Assistance? Is this better than the Carnival Protection plan? It is offered through AAA. Any info, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated! :)

Midwestgal Posted October 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2013 This is my second time using it. I have never had to make a claim and hope to never have to. It's what my TA offers for trip insurance and we paid $161.00 for all three of us in our cabin.
cruisecrazy82 Posted October 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Haven't ever used it personally however I have read some not so great things about Allianz as a travel insurance company. Why not check out insuremytrip dot com for some better rated (as well as likely better priced) options :)
djcass4199 Posted October 20, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2013 We have used Travel Guard and have made a claim for a cancelled cruise with them. Super easy and our claim was processed and a check mailed within six weeks of initial filing.
mommom of 7 Posted October 20, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2013 This is my second time using it. I have never had to make a claim and hope to never have to. It's what my TA offers for trip insurance and we paid $161.00 for all three of us in our cabin. I just this mornin' bought it for our next 6 cruises. It cost me $370.00 for us both, that is the basic coverage. $50,000. airlift. Cruise friends got me hooked up. They have had to use it a couple of times with no problem. We are doing 3 B2B's between Oct. 28 & Dec. 16 so just covered those dates for the amount of the 6 cruises. Ask anything will try to answer. mommom of 7 Posted October 20, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Who did you go though if you don't mind me asking? The website for ALLIANZTRAVELINSURANCE.COM It was very easy & I wouldn't have even tried it if it weren't for our friends that use it all the time. They cruise 3 out of every 4 week's all winter. ( cheaper than summer ) Char
Nurse 3D Posted October 20, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2013 I have used that insurance through my TA but tried www.squaremouth.com this time, like the layout and covered cancel for work issues too. The cost was a factor, also. That website like insure my trip is a broker site with various insurance companies. Good luck with your search.
