Fantabulous Freedom

You should definitely try Oasis class at least once. It is quite incredible.

Yes, the mini golf course was in good condition. If that was your only nearly bad experience, then yay - that's fantastic!

We have done Allure twice and did love it. Your pictures are making me more sure I want to go back on Freedom. IMO the Solarium and the Windjammer are superior on Freedom. I do like the dual flowriders on the Oasis class though. I've never cruised out of Port Canaveral, but I am looking forward to that experience.

Oops, didn't notice you had sailed Allure. So you know how great it is!!

Too bad we can't fly in closer to Port Canaveral.

do you remember what night the half- price drinks were in the casino?

that is when I will go ;)

We were on the Freedom 10-13-13 and as I recall, it was most evenings. I saw the half-price sign at the casino bar when passing through and they even advertised it in the DL. We spent most evenings in the CL... Raul and Lewis took great care of us!

Looks like you had beautiful weather your entire cruise. Glad it was like that for you.

The only day we didn't have rain was in St. Maarten back in June on Oasis. But those pictures bring back all the fun memories I made at those Islands.

:)

That has been a source of concern for me too and one reason I haven't been back on Freedom. For the first 2 or 3 years she was based out of Miami. My friend I am cruising with this week cruised on Enchantment earlier this year and said it wasn't too bad. My first 3 cruises were done flying in the same day and that would add to that concern. But ever since cruise 4 I have flown in the day before, so I will be less apprehensive about going to this port.

Picking up a rental car in Orlando was a great way to go (just don't use Budget:mad:). Have fun on Majesty. I've sailed every class of RCI ship but that one.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review! It helps first timers on Royal Caribbean like myself make notes of what not to miss. Thanks for the "heads up" on the 50% off cocktails at the Casino Bar, and telling us about the "Silent Disco". My husband and I prefer much different styles of music, so I am really looking forward to that now!

  • 4 months later...

Our luggage was received by 1:30 pm. That has to be the earliest we've ever gotten it.

Ships at Port Canaveral with us. Disney Dream and I believe Carnival Sensation. That Disney ship is gorgeous. I sailed Disney Wonder years ago and it was super nice.

Loved the disney Wonder in April of 2007

Hello! I just read through your review and really enjoyed it. I thought your pictures were great and much better than ones taken with my point and shoot. Can you give me the link to your review of the Enchantment? I tried to search your threads, but I must not be doing that correctly. Thank you, Janet

Thank you for sharing. I read through the review and I appreciate you posting your experience and the photos. Can you share what type of camera you use? I've never gotten such good pictures from my little Kodak Easy Share :)

Janet

Thanks for your comments. My point and shoot is a Canon Power Shot Elph 300HS.
