Falmouth bamboo rafting on Martha Brae

We have finally decided on the Bamboo rafting down the Martha Brae excursion; however, now we are trying to figure out if we should book through the ship, an online company like Shoretrips, with a local company, or wait until we get off the ship and take a cab. Any recommendations? Our ship arrives in Falmouth at 9 am and we will be in port for 8 hours. DH is leaning towards either booking through the ship or shoretrips so that we are sure to find our way back to the ship safely. This is DH's first cruise and my first cruise in 12 years and neither of us have ever been to Jamaica. Any suggestions, advice, experiences you are able to share?

We've been to Falmouth before and are considering this excursion, too. There is one highly rated on tripadvisor from Real Jamaica Tours- it is $60pp. I'd love feedback from folks who have done this before- I read online that the river is a muddy swamp, so I'm hesitant!

For Falmouth, i would either book the company in advance OR book through the ship. The vendors are pretty aggressive at this port and I wouldn't jump into a taxi with just anyone.

The last time we went to Falmouth, we booked a beach excursion through the ship. I had our kids with us and I wanted to err on the side of caution.

Thank you Micmacmissy, I think we are going to book through the ship, as Real Tours Jamaica has a 4 person minimum. I was reading the same thing about how aggressive the vendors can be too, but I think I was trying to be optimistic. :) When we return end of January, I will post our experience! :)
