Early Flight From ANC ????

We will be arriving into Seward from our RCI cruise (June 6th 2014) and will need to fly out of ANC (same day)...I have done this twice before but always using 2:20pm-2:40pm flights home to LAX...There is a 1:40pm flight I would like to use instead..

Considering using cruiseship transfers (to avoid needing a carseat)..train arrives in to ANC at 11:30am. Their shuttle bus transfers arrive in to ANC I believe at approx 11:00am (if you know please advise)...What is the earliest flight you have taken ?

Am I crazy to consider this ...Taking the family and a 17 mos old grandson with us for the first time..so maybe I am

Would very much appreciate some help :)

Your ship has how many people on board? 2000 plus. Do you think you will easily get the first bus leaving at 7am? (which hold, maybe 40+++ people)

IF you go with this early departure- I suggest you arrange your own transportation for a specific time. Anchorage is an airport that is best with a 2 hour window. Again- in my case this year- I was delayed in lines for 90 minutes, with minimal lines my second time flying out of Anchorage this year.

Well I don't know ...maybe ...Using the RCI cruise bus transfers..I thought those that had early flights would be able to use the 7:00am bus (not even sure if there is a 7:00am bus was hoping someone knew for sure) and thought it was a 3 hour drive (I know the cruise train is 4 hours..have done that)...I have had really good luck at ANC on my last two flights out of there with the most recent one being this past May...But you may be right. Have no idea what private transportation will be as there will be 5 adults and one infant...it may not be worth trying for this earlier flight...Thanks for your insight.

Why not look into a Hertz van rental? The office opens at 8am- verify can change. You could be at Anchorage airport by 11:30a (extra time included for delays)

Hertz would be a good option and they have car seats available.

The only time we have taken the cruise transfer from Seward to Anchorage the bus driver decided on an unscheduled stop at the Wildlife Conservation Center. It added an hour to the transit time back to Anchorage.
