Does anyone know where you can drop off carry on luggage until your cabin is ready? Or better yet have you been able to go right to your cabin and drop it off like they have on the Breakway.

Thanks

Ive never seen any place to store carry-ons. If you cant get in your room, you just have to drag them around with you or go and relax by the pool with a drink.

A couple of times Ive found the hallways roped off so you cant interrupt the service staff by dropping your bags off while they're in the room.

Id be happy to be proven wrong tho. ;)

They will let you know where you can check your carry on until cabins are ready.

Yup, they will. On the Sun, and the Dawn, there was a room, they give you a chit, you can go have lunch in the crowded Buffet, or go to the main dinning room and be served. Your call. ;)

Enjoy your cruise :D

And....on our last two cruises, we were advised that we could take our carry ons to our room......being aware that the rooms were not yet available, and would we then please leave the area so the room attendants could finish with the preparations.

You are correct. We had to tote our carry-ons around until they announced the rooms were ready.

However, on a good point, the rooms were ready about an hour earlier than scheduled.

We only take carry on/off luggage with us. On both the POA and Star, when we got on we asked the 1st crewmember we saw where to drop our luggage. They didn't just tell us, they took us there which I thought was so nice. It was a room or area really close to boarding and they give you a check in stub. I think you have to pick them up within 2 hours of the announcement that rooms are ready. I learned about this here on CC. Thanks guys!
