How could Carnival Improve?

Please bring back the Fun Farewell Party! Also please allow people who used to be able to go to the Past Guest Party to be able to go again. We miss it!!!

 

You could still stop new people from going who weren't eligible before your cutbacks, but please grandfather in the ones who used to be eligible and who you cut off with the new rules especially those of us who are on cruise critic and champion your cruise line.

1 lower the rates , the last six months the rates are just to high

2 allow more than 5 in a room ( after all it's only for sleeping and we can shower in the spa)

3. More comfort food , corned dogs and funnel cakes

Get the rates to 30 pp per nite

Lower rates is a dream, but would be nice.

I see no problem with comfort foods and actually enjoy most of them. I think it's nice to eat something we are familiar with. I think that's why hamburgers, hot dogs and fries are available.

A few times people never left and were not forced to !!

Parked their butts and stayed for both shows saving seats

Apparently there is no such thing as "Saving Seats".

I say this because I've heard the Cruise Director mention this before the big shows in the evening

but on far too few occasions!

 

 

I wish they'd make this widespread Common Knowledge fleet-wide, consistently,

mentioned by every Cruise Director before every single show, routinely.

 

 

There's only one way to save seats

and that is by placing one warm human bum per individual seat.

While there have been some good, logical suggestions, I don't look for most of these to happen. For what they charge, CCL can not do the following:

Hire more staff for the MDR

Have Production shows

Restore the Calypso Band and eliminate the DJ/Canned music on Lido

Restore good steak in MDR, not the flat iron they now serve

 

Would love different ships from Charleston and Jacksonville. They move ships around a lot, but never change these. Add reciprocal agreements for Loyalty Program to all Carnival Corp. Lines. I could add many more, but it is all wishful thinking and won't happen, so no need to spend time on it.

6a) Enhance efforts to combat chair hogs, perhaps by printing the chair hog rule directly onto the chair, and dedicating an employee to do nothing but label and collect chair hog items for the 2-3 hours between 8-8:30am and 10:30-11am.

Better quality bacon, and not half cooking it.

 

Bring back Capt. Morgan

 

Have a few sit up forward massage chairs outside, quik 10-15 min deep tissue rub downs..

 

For those of us who get the coupon for a free drink, don't make it so you have to only get it here or there, and has to be during this time or that time... Just give us the free drink to get at any bar!

 

Bring back San Diego port

I agree. This is one of our biggest complaints. The food in the MDR on our last two cruises was atrocious. We've also ran into more rude employees on Carnival than any other cruiseline.

 

Our next cruise in March will be our last on Carnival unless there are some big improvements. We're only going on this cruise to use our 50% off coupon we received when the Legend broke down during our cruise earlier this year.

Dump Playlist Productions in favor of Show Bands and real singer / dancer productions with real sets.

 

Do not put entertainers / musicians or trivia contests by the casino because of smoke and seating space.

 

Offer dining assignment preferences with bookings (i.e. large table or window seat, etc.)

Why the band by the casino? because there is a bar there....and....

Cruise lines do not make money from the "sitters"... folks who sit, do not order drinks, etc.

The layout is designed for higher energy....gambling, dancing, drinking....ie, entertainment that generates $$$.

I, personally, have no problem with a cruise line, any cruise line, making a profit!

So We all like the lower fares of carnival Right? If we didnt we would ALL be cruising on a big luxury liner with ALL the other things that everyone is asking for. IF Carnival would do alot of the things ( and they are good things) the prices would surly go up. I think the food on the ship is great for what we pay. I also think entertainment is great for what we pay.. We are in a hotel essentually for 7 days + or - days, and the cost isnt bad! I Can think of only one thing that it would be a benefit to us and carnival , Thats having dedicated stations for the bottomless bubbles. More ppl would prolly buy if they didnt have to go wait at the bars for a soda. I dont mind waiting for my Frozen beverage but I have heard many complaints about the soda wait, and the amount they get. TMO:)

Drop Port Canaveral as a port of call. Move it to Key West, or for get the stop all together. Maybe spend more time in Freeport instead of just a half day......(Pride out of Baltimore)

I would drop Port Freeport, too. That port is sooo far from anything and when you arrive it doesn't even look like a happening place to be. I know they would like to attract more people to Grand Bahama, to spread some of the income around but Freeport is boring. We only got off the ship to buy the obligatory T-shirt.

The awkward dancing haulted service in the MDR is seriously a bad idea given that they have downsized the wait staff. We would groan when the lights dimmed for shoooowtime. Meant we would have to wait even longer for waters and entrees...

Not so. When you do set dining that may be the case but YTD is becoming far more popular now and people are at all different stages of their meal.
