Hello Sunshine!

I'd love to get together with other local CCers on the 17th to welcome the Sunshine to NOLA (and get some pics for my roll calls). Not to mention have a nice ride over... :p

Biggest problem is finding a safe place to park my bike - not a lot of "motorcycle safe" places to park anywhere near the port.

Anyone else up for this?

I met some friends in NOLA last Friday to help run Conquest out of town. I had to parallel park on Esplanade. I'll pass, but good luck with the whole parking thing. Parking sucks everywhere in NOLA. ;)

Bon Jour!

I was considering doing the same thing............ but working out the logistics and confirming the timing of Sunshine's actual arrival make it a bit more complex than I had first considered.

I live about 1.5 hours from NOLA, and would simply LOVE to watch her pull in for the first time...............

We are set to sail on Mar 2, and as the week goes by I'll keep considering the options.

IF anyone has fairly certain information on timing, that would be very helpful.:D

I'll be boarding the lovely Sunshine Sunday to spend the night on her. Very much looking forward to this event.

I'd be up for this...will try to see if I can find safe place to park our bikes. Will call my local TA & see if she knows anywhere we could park safely. Should know something by Wed 11-13-13 in the evening.

There are several large parking lots along the river and I have seen cars and motorcycles parked here. They are paying lots but well lit at night. I personally park there all the time when in the area. They are closer to the aquarium/riverwalk/jackson square area than the port. However. The ship has to pass along the river here to come in and out. Was great when I was in NOLA a few weeks ago and watched the 4pm sail away.

Parked there for decades - had a couple of real bad experiences there the last couple years. Also have a freind who lives by me NOLA cop - strongly urges me not to park my bike on the street or in those lots...

Last couple times I parked in the hotel garage just west of the casino - I forget what hotel. $$$

No Joy ... my contact at hotel off Convention Center Blvd with secured garage parking in port area is no longer at that property and cannot help me out this time. I rarely park my bike out of sight in "the city" so this was my go to parking spot in that area and now looks like I don't have that option.
