Explorer Embarkation Lunch

On embarkation day is there a buffet set up in the Solarium as well?

I can't say there isn't, but I doubt it. Never heard of that before.

I have never seen this on any of my Explorer cruises. And if your sailing during the cold months - you won't be spending much time in the solarium as it is not enclosed.

No but I beleive the Cafe Promedane is open as a option.

Never saw a buffet in solarium even in good warm weather on Explorer

No buffet.. Voyager class do not have any food options in the Solarium.. just a bar.

I wish that the MDR would be open for lunch on emabrkation day, as it is on NCL. It's so nice to be able sit and be waited on, without having to search for a vacant table in the buffet.

I think I was confusing my ships...maybe it was Oasis and Allure that had the small buffet in solarium. But yes, the dining room would be nice too. On to plan B....drinks in the hottub lol :)

You have 3 options, first the Windjammer on deck 11 or the Cafe Prom on Deck 6, or later room service but I don't think that is available until after sail away. Cafe Prom on Deck 6 is open pretty much around the clock (no charge). Starbucks and Ben & Jerry Ice Cream right next to it you have to pay upcharge for their stuff.

 

Just love the Exployer of the Seas. Sailing her again on Dec 2.
