reedl Posted November 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2013 The dining credit is a credit for dining only. It is not a cash credit on your seapass account. Also you cannot make reservations for the dinner before you cruise. Just make them when you board. There are plenty of times available. The same thing applies to a spa credit. As the previous post mentioned and per the paper voucher that you should have received from your TA (see copy attached for reference), it's ONLY for dining in the specialty restaurant aboard the specific ship/ sailing (2 ppl, cover fee and gratuities included) and reservations CAN'T be made online or prior to actually boarding that ship. IF you do not use it, you loose it - no substitutes are available and typically can't be transferred because the specialty restaurant (i.e. Portofino or Chops) has a MEMO with ALL cabins entitled to this complimentary dinner for 2 people. We have not yet received anything from the TA (we are still about 4 months out). We were definitely interested in doing the 3 restaurant deal (Chops, Giovannis and Izumi) but also have this dining voucher and was hoping to combine rather than eat at chops twice. We were going to book onboard anyway so booking online ahead of time didn't really matter. However if we can't use this toward the package we may just purchase the other 2 separately. 39august Posted November 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2013 We did not receive a voucher for our dinner on Mariner last winter. The list of names with TA comped dinners was in each of the specialty venues. I was told there that TA's no longer send the paper vouchers.
