Royal Princess Restrooms

Hey Royal Princess cruisers… What is you experience with restrooms in the staterooms? I have read that some cruise ships have horrible ventilation in the stateroom bathrooms and that your entire cabin can be filled with certain “odors”, unless you bring a healthy supply of air freshener sprays. Is there any truth to these rumors?

Never noticed anything like that on RP.

There is a small round vent near the shower that is constantly running. It's really quiet, but if you put your hand against it, you can feel the suction. We didn't notice any odor problems but our mirror was always foggy after showering.

No, we didn't have any odor issues in our restroom either. A603.

No odor problems. There is a constant air exchange. I think I read years ago that the air is exchanged every seven minutes but that could be a faulty memory.

We had the same experience. Ironically, I commented during the cruise that we'd never had better ventilation (of odors) from the bathroom on any Princess ship.
