Unbelievable review of Dawn

I do have to agree with hearing Sweet Caroline WAY too many times!

Sweet Caroline is a Boston favorite. The ship just came from Boston so that's to be expected. Sorry to say Bostonians are in love with that song as much as they are with their beloved Red Sox. I guess when the ship travels south for the winter they keep the Boston theme alive!:D

That review is just BS

Some people just don't like things and generalize

I knew it was bs when they thought teppanyaki was good

Mind you , people like it but to say it was the only tasty food they ate is a lie

There are activities all day for everyone both young and old

I don't agree or believe the review for one second

While I was not on the op's cruise, I was on the Thanksgiving cruise . All I can say is if you were not on the same or next cruise, how can you comment negatively? You were not there. I was, and while my cruise was not as bad as the op's, it was definitely not perfect. Waiting a LOONNGG time to embark with no information from the confused staff is not the way to start a cruise. Over 3 hours in line is not a good way to end a cruise. I will post a review later but once again, every cruise can be viewed differently, Just as each poster has the write to their opinion.

Not this "Bostonian"! :D

I cringe everytime I hear it!

I was on the "Royal Princess" when the Red Sox won the WS, I made my wife go to the casino to watch the game by herself!

Anyway I have sailed the Dawn, love it, plan on doing it agian next summer!

WOO HOO!! I cannot wait until 54 days to go on this "Crappy boat, with crappy food and crappy

entertainment" :D This will be our 1st Norwegian cruise! We have done 5

Carnival and 2 RCI cruises and wanted a change. We are so excited! :D

I feel you will NOT be dissapointed.

To have any vacation be 100% perfect in every way would be unusual. As it too is unusual to have such a bad cruise and to not had a major malfunction like the Carnival Splendour or worse Costa's Concordia. I personally feel the reviewer was a troll trying to stir the pot.

We board the Dawn this Sunday!!!! We also got a phone call this morning to NOT arrive at the port before 1 pm. (or be ready for a long wait in line!) We'll do as they say, and look forward to being on a ship and pampered for a whole week!:D

My favorite memory of this song was hearing it on the radio, when I was feeding my then new-born son. He is a Daddy of three now.

As a Bostonian myself I don't root for any sports team because I find it safer for my health if I don't. This city is sports crazy and obsessed! Good for you for banishing your wife to the casino to watch the game! I'm not sure that helped your wallet but eh... no pain no gain right?! :)

Have a great cruise on the Dawn!

They used to play it on Oldies 103.3 all the time too. Now the only time you hear it is at the old ballpark as the Oldies station flipped to Top 40 in Boston. Just what Boston needed... more Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.:rolleyes:

I wish that Boston still had an oldies station. However, I enjoy 90.5, the jazz station out of Worcester.

For those who are in a situation of their Tampa area hotel having check-out time earlier in the morning . . . you can still go ahead and check your luggage with the porters at the terminal, and then walk over to Channelside for a late-morning snack. Qachbals offers some light (and good) breakfast items, as well as some 'superbly superb' chocolates to carry onboard for future enjoyment.

now on the correct thread:

Hehe, you thought this was bad, read this one. I almost felt of my chair. The way of writing, screaming and that for a person that apparently thinks she is upperclass or educated. :) ;)

That is so OTT that it has intrinsic comedy value. Clearly that person had done NO research before sailing or even before booking.

Gary Glading - the CD - does some very informative port talks.

She sounds like a whingeing Brit (I am a Brit) so the DSC would have been included in the final invoice - not added at $12 pppd.

I call troll.

Why don't the Bostonians adopt the band named after their city - Boston - one of the best rock bands EVER!?

The irony is my wife has never gambled a cent in her life, she stays clear of casino's and only passes thru when necessary to get from point a to point b! She sat at a vacant electronic poker table watching the TV. When I later told her she could have watched it in the cabin, she was a bit pissed! I am a big Bruins and Patriots fan, but baseball & basketball put me to sleep!

I have a feeling you are right! I am so excited to try a new cruise line. Nothing wrong with the

other lines we have sailed, just want a change! 1 cruise it rained 3 of the 5

days and we missed HMC. Was I disappointed, yes, bad mouth Carnival,

No. They don't control the weather. We still had an amazing time because

it is what you make of it :) I love reading reviews but it never sways my

mind. I read anything on the Dawn right now since I am so clueless about

this ship :p
