St. Lucia instead of St. Marrten?

Why did the cruise ships like the Breakaway and the Gem changed to St. Lucia instead of St. Mararten (sorry spelling)?

I don't know why they changed but I wouldn't be upset, love St.Lucia and would go back anytime I can.

St. Lucia is beautiful and more authentically Caribbean. I suspect that St. Maarten had too many other ships docking there.

I love St Martin/St Maarten, have been many times on cruises. I have only once been to St Lucia, way back in 1985, on a land vacation, which was absolutely wonderful. I would love to go back to St Lucia. It is unique. So, while I would miss St Martin, St Lucia would be a good alternate for me. Just my opinion though. To each their own.:)

Is there some announcement that I may have missed about this? Am booked on the Getaway for eb 2014 - would this apply to the Getaway ...?

I have not seen any substitution of St.Lucia for St. Maarten where did you see this? The Breakaway does St. Lucia on the 12 day but it also goes to St. Maarten
