jlpalmer Posted December 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2013 We have booked an excursion that meets at the Royal Watler Cruise Ship Terminal. Just wondering which terminal Carnival usually tenders to?

misguidedangel Posted December 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Yes, Carnival will use Royal Watler terminal for tendering in Grand Cayman. There will be tents to wait under to get out of the sun and/or you can start your shopping early waiting for the tours. A little hint, just because the tour says to meet at the terminal area at 8am, doesn't always mean the tour will leave at 8am, nope, you're on island time and it could be 830 before you leave, that and the late comers who got up late and took late tenders. The flip side of this is that they could aslo leave early! I had two tours leave 15-20 minutes early.
pacruiser05 Posted December 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Is there a beach in walking distant of this port?
Rare jimbo5544 Posted December 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Is there a beach in walking distant of this port? The best and most famous beach in Grand Cayman is 7 mile beach. It is to far to walk (although you can see it from the ship) but is easily accessible for a $3 per person cab ride.

treasurespast Posted December 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 14, 2013 There's also a beach almost right next to where we tendered last time I was there a few years ago. I think it's called Eden Rock, and there is a dive shop there, too.
Jimmy Geegitz Posted December 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 14, 2013 You could swim to the pier it's so close.
floydfamily4 Posted December 14, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I just got off the Magic 12/1 sailing and we went to Grand Cayman. I didn't see any $3 cabs. The cheapest was $4 per person to royal ?? and it was $2 to use the beach. The chairs and umbrellas were extra. The beach was so beautiful, the bathrooms were clean, the bar area was hopping. It was not what we had planned for the day but turned into the families favorite outing of the cruise. Have fun!
kcwingwalker Posted December 14, 2013 #12 Share Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) When we tendered a Grand Cayman it was a bit of a mess. Three Carnival ships in port and not enough tenders...............so long waits and some missed their excursions. We loved Grand Cayman and DS and SIL had a great time snorkeling. runner15km Posted December 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted December 14, 2013 1 - No beach near the tender terminal or Eden Rock. 2- The city bus is 2.50 to 7 Mile Beach or the 4.00 shuttle. 3 - 7 Mile Beach Is free to use if you enter at a public entrance. 4 - You can walk to 7 mile beach, it is about 1 1/5 miles from the pier. Wags67 Posted December 15, 2013 #16 Share Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) We were at Grand Cayman on December 5th on the Liberty. It tendered to the North Terminal. We were meeting with Captain Bryan which has a tent located in the Royal Watler Cruise Ship Terminal. It was an easy walk from the North Terminal... If you tender to North Terminal, you'll exit the pier, turn left and walk until you see the Royal Watler Terminal on the left...it took us less than 5 minutes to get there. Have fun. (Maybe it depends on which ship you are on, as to which pier it tenders you to.) Edited December 15, 2013 by Wags67
