crackupforlaughs Posted December 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Well, I would assume you can take towels from the ship to use on snorkeling/beach excursions, but then I also know what assuming does... Should we take us suitcase space and pack our own towels, or can we take them from the ship?
Rare Coral Posted December 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Princess will provide them. If you need more, just ask your room steward.
wineforhealth Posted December 17, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2013 The towels will be in your room and changed daily as you use them by your room steward. Have fun on your cruise:)
Pam in CA Posted December 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2013 One for each person will be on the shelf above the closet rod and replaced nightly. If you need or want more, just ask. Here they are on the shelf:

Ethel5 Posted December 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Just keep in mind that if they disappear, you will be charged for them. A while ago some of the natives were offering to take towels back to the ship for a fee. The ship never saw them again.
caribill Posted December 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Just keep in mind that if they disappear, you will be charged for them. They would never know if the towels disappear. Often there is a bin for used towels after security when returning to the ship. Nobody records who puts towels in the bin. Used towels are also often left on the pool deck. caribill Posted December 17, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I guess I'm remembering from when the stewards would keep track of them. On RCCL there are no beach towels in your cabin. To get one, you need to present your cruise card to an attendent on the pool deck. If the towel is not returned to the attendent by the last evening of the cruise, you do get charged. Many people get charged for towels after they are off the ship even though they returned the towels. We almost got charged because their card swiping machine "needed a reboot"
giselleacttwo Posted December 17, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I just went snorkeling on Bora Bora and Moorea and every single person on that snorkel boat had the standard Princess issue blue and white striped towels with them. They don't bat an eye if you take them when you go ashore. There was, however, a notice put in the Patter stating if you DID take the pool towels ashore to be sure to bring them back. I noticed a few people who took pool towels ashore decided to deposit them in the bin provided for the cool washcloths we were offered at the gangplank, so they didn't make them haul wet towels back to their cabin.
