smj Posted December 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2013 What is the private spa terrace on the Marina? What benefits does it have?

Rare LHT28 Posted December 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2013 No T-Pool AFAIK... .. Really when did they change the T-pool I was looking forward to trying it from the website Sundeck Relax on our private sundeck after your thalassotherapy experience. Enjoy a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of other travelers. http://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/riviera/lifestyle/default.aspx

Enjoy a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of other travelers. http://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/riviera/lifestyle/default.aspx Not a change. The Marina was built with a pair of slightly larger than normal hot tubs on her Spa Deck: Whereas Riviera has a single more "pool sized" T pool:
hypercafe Posted December 20, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 20, 2013 It is a small area with the hot tubs/tiny pool and some lounge chairs with shade covers. We spent a few hours there one day. It was closed most sea days due to the wind and on the port days it got VERY hot due to the small enclosed nature. There is no service there for extended stay. pacheco18 Posted December 20, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 20, 2013 I have access to it and have not used it It is quieter than the pool deck so if u want to read with out chatter or music it's a good place to go. I prefer to be more in the middle of the action lol I personally would not book cc class just for that perk as there are many quiet areas on deck 14 All suites have access to it. rloke Posted December 20, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Wow...I guess Oceania does do things efficiently and perhaps even magically...looks like Marina effective 12/12/2013 will have the T-pool. I disembarked the Marina Dec 8th with the 2 hot tubs still in-place...not sure if it is possible to get the t-pool in 3-4 days in Rio and en-route to Valparaiso... rloke Posted December 20, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 20, 2013 It was closed most sea days due to the wind.... It was also closed one sea day during our TA due to bird droppings! A flock of birds were shadowing the ship...looked lovely staring at them gliding effortlessly from the pool deck. Until they needed to "go"...the private spa deck was affected the most...as well as one side of the sun deck... :p
Rare LHT28 Posted December 20, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Sounds good We will be on the Riveira in Jan & Marina in May Though I think it will be too chilly for any bathing attire in May for me anyway:eek: I will go have a look at the spa deck area on Marina just to see what is there Last time (2011) they did have the 2 T-pools (looked like hot tubs) Lyn
