Magen's Bay by $1 bus from town?

Amanda: I wouldn't say they are challenging, but they are confusing. There are regular buses that say VITRAN on them and then there are safari vehicles, which are actually licensed as taxis, but run the same route as the bus does. Neither service stops directly at any beach, although you can get close to Sapphire, Smith Bay, Lindbergh Bay and John Brewer's. Coki is quite a walk.

They are not as regular as you are accustomed to in other destinations but many ppl use them to save money and to ride with locals. But you will usually lose some time using the $2 bus because of waiting time and the stops youmake so if you want to minimize your travel time the taxi is the preferred way to go.

As with all buses you do have to walk to the bus stop and then to the beach from where they drop you. But the taxis DO drop you right at the beach, and it's only $9 - 10pp each way from Havensight.
